Kitasato University Global Program for Team-based Healthcare Practice 2027

■ Program Information

1. Program Dates: March 7–14, 2027
2. Number of Participants:
   2 students from the Department of Nursing, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU)
3. Program Description:
   Students nominated by participating universities are expected to be able to communicate fluently in English in everyday situations and to introduce and discuss the healthcare system of their home country in English.
4. Financial Support:
   1. Airfare Subsidy: The airfare subsidy will be calculated based on the distance between the participant’s home university and Tokyo, with the participant’s departure from the location of their home university used as the basis for calculation.
   2. Living Expenses: Kitasato University will also provide a certain amount of financial support for living expenses.

■ Selection of NCKU Department of Nursing Representatives

1. Application Period: From now until October 16 (Friday), 2026
2. Eligibility:
   Fourth-year undergraduate students and master’s students
3. Required Documents:
   1. Transcript from the previous semester
   2. Proof of English proficiency (e.g., TOEIC, TOEFL, etc.). Applicants who can provide proof of both English and Japanese proficiency are especially encouraged to apply.
   3. Statement of International Exchange Experience, including previous international exchange experience, motivation for applying, understanding of international exchange, etc.
   4. Other materials that may be helpful for the selection process
4. Application Submission:
   Please combine all required documents into one PDF file and send it to the Department of Nursing coordinator, Mr. Cheng-Yu Yen, at 11409366@gs.ncku.edu.tw.
5. Selection Process:
   A selection committee composed of faculty members from the Department of Nursing will conduct a document review. An interview may be conducted if necessary.
6. Note:
   Applicants should consider their course schedules for the semester carefully. Students selected to participate in the program will need to take personal leave rather than official leave from the university.
