Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP)

Overview

The in-service Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Master's program is grounded in evidence-based methodologies, aiming to foster the development of competent AGNPs capable of delivering comprehensive care across the entire spectrum of the adult lifespan—from adolescence to geriatrics. The curriculum emphasizes the utilization of scientific principles to impart essential skills in clinical decision-making, advanced patient care, and nuanced clinical practices.

The Family Nurse Practitioner program is designed to train nurses for advanced practice, emphasizing analytical judgment, clinical reasoning, and specialized care. It caters to diverse populations, focusing on direct care in rural and underserved areas (remote islands, indigenous community, etc.) as per Ministry of Health and Welfare guidelines
