Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNP)

Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP)

Overview

The evidence-based in-service Nurse Practitioner Master's program focuses on developing Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNPs) with the competence to care for adult patients across their entire lifespan, from adolescence to the elder. The program enhances AGNPs' clinical decision-making, advanced professional care abilities, and clinical skills by utilizing scientific methods.

Based on the foundation of practicing abilities for populations of all ages, the program aims to cultivate the students' advanced nursing competencies in primary care. The goal is to develop the student’s abilities in holistic assessment and diagnosis, clinical reasoning, and medical interventions to meet the needs of diverse communities, including aborigines, off-shore islands, and rural areas, throughout the lifespan direct care.
