Dr. Ying-Ju Chang is a PhD graduate of the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. She has over 25 years of teaching experience and attained the rank of Professor in 2013. Her research interests include pediatrics, particularly neonatal infants for which she has authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Chang served as the Director of the Nursing Department from 2010 to 2013. She currently serves as the Vice-President of Nursing at National Cheng Kung Hospital in Tainan.

Dr. Ching-Min Chen obtained her PhD from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Formerly a professor at Taipei Medical University she has been on the faculty at National Chen Kung University for over 10 years. Dr. Chen’s clinical interest is in gerontology. She was elected twice to serve as a Legislator from Tainan for the Legislative Yuan, Taiwan. a position she currently holds. Dr. Chen was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nursing.

Dr. Hsing-Mei Chen is a PhD graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas, USA. Her clinical area of interest is critical and cardiovascular care. She has published over 25 papers in the past 5 years and attained the rank of professor in 2021. Dr. Chen directs the nurse practitioner program at National Chen Kung University.

Dr. Su-Ying Fang is a PhD graduate of the National Cheng Kung University Institute of Allied Health Sciences and earned the rank of Professor in 2020. In the past 5 years she has authored over 15 papers in her area of study, cancer care, specifically women with breast cancer. She has over 25 years of teaching experience.

Dr. Jui-Ying Feng obtained her Doctorate in Nursing Science from the University of Buffalo, Buffalo, New York, USA. Her clinical and research area focuses on pediatrics specifically childhood trauma and mistreatment. Dr. Feng has been a member of the nursing department for nearly 20 years and in 2015 attained the rank of professor. She is a prolific writer, having published over 30 papers in the past 5 years in high ranking journals.

Dr. Yu-Un Hsu is a PhD graduate of the University of Pittsburg Doctoral Program, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, USA. She has over 30 years of teaching experience, primarily in the area of woman’s and maternal-child health. Her research interests include symptom management for breast cancer women. Dr. Hsu has numerous publications and successful grants.

Dr. Chi-Yin Kao is a PhD graduate of the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia, though she obtained her first nursing degree at National Cheng Kung University. She has nearly 10 years of teaching experience at Nation Chen Kung University Nursing Department and was elevated to Associate Professor in 2020. Dr. Kao’s research interests lie in the area of cancer survivors, as well as ethics and advance care planning. She has authored over 15 papers in the past 5 years.

Dr. Nai-Ying Ko is a PhD graduate of the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle Washington, USA. She has over 20 years of teaching experience and attained the rank of Professor in 2012. She served as the Director of the NCKU Nursing Department from 2019 to 2022. Her research interests are in the area of emerging infectious diseases, particularly HIV/STI, women’s health and gender studies. In addition to numerous publications, Dr. Ko is a consultant for many international organizations, including the International Council of Nurses. She was awarded Distinguished Professor status in 2019.

Dr. Chia-Kuei Lee is a PhD graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, Illinois, USA. She has been at National Chen Kung University since 2021. Her previous positions include leadership positions including the oncology case manager at National Chen Kung Hospital.  Her research interests are health promotion and behaviors in adolescents and young adults. Dr. Kuei has received numerous grants and is well published.

Dr. Huan-Fang Lee is a graduate of the Institute of Allied Health Sciences Doctoral Program at the National Chen Kung University. With a strong teaching background, she was quickly promoted to Associate Professor in 2022.  Her research interests include nursing administration, particularly nurse burnout. Her clinical focus is adult health and critical care nursing.

Dr. Ester Ching-Lan Lin is a graduate of the National Taiwan University Doctoral Program. She has received several outstanding teaching awards and in 2020 attained the rank of Professor. Her focused area is care of the patients with mental illness as well as novel interventions such as smartphone. Dr. Lin has published over 25 articles in high ranking journals in the past 5 years.

Dr. Mei-Feng Lin is a PhD graduate of the National Changhua University Guidance and Counseling Department located in Changhua City, Taiwan. She has taught nursing at National Cheng Kung University for over 30 years and currently serves as the Director of the Nursing Department. She attained the rank of Professor in 2017 and has authored over 15 papers in her area of study. As a clinical psychologist her interests include psychosocial interventions and communications for health management.

Dr. Bih-Ching Shu is a PhD graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She has over 30 years of teaching experience in the Nursing Department of the National Cheng Kung University in the area of women’s health, psychiatric and mental health nursing. She served as the Director of the NCKU Nursing Department from 1995 to 1998. I addition to numerous publications, Dr. Shu was instrumental in initiating the PHD program in the College of Allied Health and the Department of Nursing. She was awarded Distinguished Professor status in 2010.

Dr. Chi-Jane Wang is an EdD graduate of the National Changhua University of Education in Changhua, Taiwan. She has taught at National Chen Kung University for over 20 years and achieved the rank of Associate Professor in 2015. Her research interests are in the area of community health and the effect of exercise and diet modification for which she is well published.

Dr. Jing-Jy Wang is a PhD graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Nursing and earned the rank of Professor in 2011. Dr. Wang has over 25 years of teaching experience and has authored over 15 papers in her area of study in the past 5 years. Her research interest is in the area of geriatric care particularly dementia and the use of alternative and complementary therapies.  Dr. Wang served as the Director of the NCKU Nursing Department from 2016 to 2019.

Dr. Miaofen Yen is a PhD graduate of the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. She has been a member of the nursing department at National Chen Kung University for over 25 years, attaining the rank of professor in 2010. She served as the department director from 2013 to 2016. Her research interests are in nursing administration and patients with chronic kidney disease. Dr. Yen has authored over 75 papers during her tenure at National Chen Kung University. She was inducted as one of the first three Fellows from Taiwan into the American Academy of Nurses.
